It is an exciting time to be a part of the commercial marine industry.

The ongoing quest for net zero is paving the way for decarbonisation. Equally, the drive for vessel efficiency and autonomy is seeing technology like marine electric propulsion gain momentum across a wide range of marine applications — from commercial and research ships to fishing vessels.

With these developments constantly progressing, helping bring us closer to the sustainable, low-emission industry we so desperately need, there is a lot to keep up to date with. Which brings us to an upcoming exhibition: Seawork.

Providing a forum for attendees to discuss the latest marine news and technologies whilst catching up with like-minded professionals, this event is a crucial date in the modern commercial marine calendar — and a must-attend for all industry players.

So, what does Seawork 2023 have to offer, how is Hydrosphere getting involved, and why should you meet us there?

Providing opportunities for maritime professionals

Seawork is an annual commercial marine and workboat exhibition taking place from the 13th to the 15th of June this year. The event is the largest of its kind in Europe, welcoming over 6,400 visitors from over 60 countries to its Southampton venue this summer.

During the three-day event, those interested in learning about today’s most important maritime topics can take a seat at several workshops — with this year’s sessions covering everything from alternative fuels to codes of practice.

There will also be a range of live on-water demonstrations, where attendees can take a closer look at some of the 70 vessels on display during the event, as well as the equipment showcased on the quayside.

What’s more, attendees have the chance to meet face-to-face with members of some of the marine industry’s most prolific organisations, such as Marine Civils engineers. Co-located with Seawork, Marine Civils will have a dedicated space in the event’s busy exhibition hall, where its representatives will share information on crucial construction and maintenance works at sea.

On top of all that, around 700 exhibitors will be taking to the stands this year to speak with visitors about their products and services — and we are incredibly excited to be one of them…

Showcasing our AtoN solutions

As the UK’s leading supplier of marine aids to navigation (AtoN), we play an active role in the marine industry.

Our team will be displaying our wide range of AtoN at stand F21 during the exhibition, ready to help curious maritime professionals understand the value of our lights and buoys and answer any questions about their deployment.

However, we are equally excited about seeing attendees in-person as we are about displaying our products — and invite you to pay us a visit whatever you would like to chat about!

By booking your Seawork tickets, you can guarantee you and your team the opportunity to establish valuable professional connections, discover new products and learn about the latest industry updates all in one place. Plus, if the weather holds up, you and your team can enjoy a few days in the sunshine by the coast — the perfect outing for any maritime professional.

Make a plan with your colleagues, register your attendance and get the date in your calendars today. Seawork is THE meeting place for the commercial marine and workboat sector, so we look forward to seeing you there…
